“ My wifes family has been getting Christmas Eve heros and salads since she was little. Now that we host Christmas Eve, we carry on her parents tradition. The food has never disappointed. Both the American and Italian heros are delicious. The potato and macaroni salads are the best, and the family loves the pickle and olive tray. The staff is always so friendly and courteous. “ Tried out 3 local delis for their potato salad. Ottos came out on top. I dont know much about their other foods, but Ill be back purchasing pounds of their potato salad. Its sliced thin, using a slicer, the potatoes soak up all the juices from the salad thus providing no dry spots in the taste. Its not pasty at all. Very hard to find authentic German style potato salad. The only other place which is under new management killed thier authentic recipe Lake Grove deli out in Suffolk caused me to drive around tasting different delis. Ottos is my new go too. ”
